Equipment Technician – Automation & Robotics

About the role

Tata Electronics Private Limited is building India’s first AI‑enabled semiconductor foundry. We are looking for an experienced Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our automation equipment, ensuring high‑availability of critical manufacturing lines.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair robots, PLCs, and special‑purpose machines.
• Develop and implement robot programs for ABB, FANUC, KUKA, EPSON, SODICK, and PANASONIC platforms.
• Design, develop, and deploy PLC programs using Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Allen Bradley controllers.
• Support automation of manufacturing processes through robotics and PLC integration.
• Create and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory to minimise downtime.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimise production flow.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, Automation, or Special‑Purpose Machines.
• Hands‑on experience with robot programming and PLC development.
• Familiarity with QMS documentation and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
