Engineering Team Leader – Mechanical

About the role

Husky Technologies is seeking an Engineering Team Leader – Mechanical to head a multidisciplinary mechanical design team in Chennai. You will drive the development of new machine platforms and support critical service requests, ensuring innovative, high‑quality solutions that meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor and cross‑train a team of junior, senior and specialist mechanical designers.
• Oversee the design, development and release of engineering deliverables for new Husky machine platforms.
• Manage critical service and customer support engineering requests.
• Ensure products align with business requirements, Husky’s operating model and quality standards.
• Plan and schedule design activities to meet committed delivery dates.
• Enforce risk‑mitigation and compliance processes throughout the development cycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical engineering teams in a product development environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, innovation processes and quality assurance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and customers.
