Drug Safety Scientist – Pharmacovigilance Operations

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Drug Safety Scientist to join its Life Sciences R&D vertical, focusing on pharmacovigilance operations. The role involves monitoring drug safety, managing adverse event cases, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, submission, and follow‑up for Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in the safety database.
• Analyze complex safety data and solve increasingly challenging pharmacovigilance problems.
• Collaborate with peers, clients, and Accenture management on daily tasks and project assignments.
• Provide oversight for small work efforts or teams as required.
• Participate in rotational work schedules as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master of Pharmacy degree.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on routine tasks and moderate guidance on new assignments.
• Strong analytical skills and capacity to impact own and others’ work.
• Willingness to work in a rotational environment.
