Director, Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Director, Finance & Accounting to establish and lead a Finance & Accounting Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. This strategic role will manage global accounting operations, build scalable finance processes, and partner closely with our U.S. headquarters and international subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a Finance Center of Excellence, hiring and mentoring a team of 3–5 finance professionals.
• Design and scale global finance and accounting processes, driving automation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strong internal controls, governance, documentation, and compliance with statutory and GAAP requirements.
• Manage global Order‑to‑Cash operations, including customer onboarding, credit review, invoicing, collections, and revenue support.
• Oversee global Procure‑to‑Pay activities such as vendor onboarding, invoice processing, domestic and international payments, and accounts payable compliance.
• Lead month‑end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and support internal/external audits.
• Coordinate statutory compliance, tax filings, and reporting for subsidiaries in Germany, India, and Thailand.
• Handle intercompany eliminations, foreign‑exchange translation, and consolidation reporting to the U.S. parent under U.S. GAAP.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA – India) qualification.
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance operations, preferably with a top‑tier audit/assurance firm.
• Proven track record of hiring, leading, and developing finance teams.
• Strong understanding of accounting controls, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable working in overlapping U.S. business hours.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite ERP.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and global accounting practices.
