DevOps Engineer – Server & Infrastructure Management

About the role

Clubessential is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to own and evolve its server and infrastructure environment. You will work closely with development teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of our cloud‑based solutions for private clubs and collegiate athletics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and optimise dedicated Linux server environments.
• Design and maintain load‑balancing, failover and auto‑scaling strategies using HAProxy, Nginx or similar.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and resource‑management tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Nagios.
• Automate deployments, server provisioning and application scaling with Ansible, Terraform and scripting.
• Define and enforce backup, disaster‑recovery and security policies.
• Collaborate with developers to improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Optimise application performance and infrastructure costs.
• Troubleshoot server‑related incidents and provide timely resolutions.
• Install, configure and maintain the in‑house version‑control system.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Linux/Unix systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
