Deputy Manager – Supply Chain Transportation Planner

About the role

The Deputy Manager – SC Transportation Planner is responsible for planning, organizing and optimizing shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery while maximizing the efficiency of fleets and warehouses. This role works closely with carriers, warehouses and internal stakeholders to align on routes, capacities and service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the TCT/gTMS scheduling process and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Plan, optimize and publish the most efficient shipment routes, balancing cost, transit time and fleet productivity.
• Assign carriers to shipments based on company policies, contracts, route guides and capacity availability.
• Adjust schedules as needed to maintain feasible shipment plans and monitor carrier acceptance/rejection.
• Serve as the focal point for creating and updating shipment “Trip Build” records.
• Collaborate with transport planners, execution teams and performance teams to resolve capacity constraints and identify root‑cause issues.

Required profile

• Engineering or Business university degree.
• 2‑3 years of experience in transport planning or a related logistics function.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work across multiple departments.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Experience with gTMS or similar transportation management software.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Control Tower platforms.
