Deputy Manager - Finance & Accounts

About the role

The Deputy Manager – Finance & Accounts provides advanced financial support to business units, ensuring accurate analysis and insights that drive key commercial decisions. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial discipline across manufacturing operations while supporting innovation and results.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly financial close activities, prepare financial statements, and conduct balance‑sheet analysis.
• Perform weekly operating expense forecasts and participate in rolling estimate processes.
• Manage plant accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and design/maintain standard costing systems.
• Oversee the plant budgeting process, including production plans, shipments, labor loads, cost‑reduction programs, and capital investments.
• Identify productivity improvement opportunities and support capital investment analysis.
• Lead statutory, taxation, and legal audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Provide strategic direction for business planning, aligning financial goals with overall objectives.

Required profile

• CA qualification (maximum three attempts).
• 6‑10 years of finance experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• At least 10 years of post‑CA experience within a manufacturing unit.
• Proven experience with SAP.
• Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxes.
• Willingness to relocate.
