About the role
We are seeking a Department Manager to lead a store section, ensuring high‑quality customer service, effective product handling, and smooth day‑to‑day operations. The role requires a hands‑on presence on the shop floor and close collaboration with the store manager.
Key responsibilities
- Customer Service Management – anticipate customer needs, handle complaints and returns, and maintain an active presence at the point of sale.
- Product Management – control stock, meet sales targets, place orders, receive merchandise, and optimise inventory levels.
- Section Image – uphold the visual standards of the team and section, apply merchandising criteria, and support store cleanliness.
- Staff Management – recruit, train, develop, and organise the store team, manage personnel budgets and integration.
- Budget Control – protect store assets, monitor material provision, organise inventory, control wastage, and ensure compliance with cash‑register and administrative procedures.
Required profile
- Proven experience in retail or store management.
- Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
- Excellent organisational and budgeting skills.
- Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
- Attention to store presentation and merchandising standards.
