Data Center Technician (DCO) – Data Center Operations

About the role

Join Amazon's Data Center Operations team as a Data Center Technician (DCO). You will help maintain the infrastructure that powers AWS, ensuring servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems run reliably for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Install and de‑install server racks and related hardware.
• Perform hardware break‑fix on servers, networking equipment, and other data‑center components.
• Troubleshoot network and hardware issues, responding to emergent situations that affect operational stability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Technical Operations) and external partners (hardware vendors, contractors, service providers).
• Work on assigned trouble tickets, meet service‑level agreements, and follow directed workflows.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems in a data‑center environment.
• Strong understanding of server hardware, rack installation, and network connectivity.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams and external vendors.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a high‑availability data‑center setting.
