Cost Accounting & Profitability Analysis Manager

About the role

The Cost Accounting & Profitability Analysis Manager leads cost centre accounting, profitability analysis, income‑statement and non‑trade accounting activities for BASF group companies in India. The role combines team leadership, financial reporting responsibility and business partnership with internal stakeholders to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost centre accounting, profitability analysis and income‑statement preparation.
• Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.
• Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders, providing timely financial insights.
• Oversee cost allocation, expense distribution and ensure data consistency across reports.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and monitor SLA/KPI performance.
• Support internal and external audits, maintain internal controls and facilitate cross‑regional collaboration.
• Participate in strategic projects aimed at enhancing decision‑making and service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost accounting and profitability analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills and business‑partnering mindset.
