Corporate Legal Counsel - Supply Chain

About the role

Nextpower is seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel – Supply Chain to lead supplier‑side contract review, negotiation and dispute management for its solar power technology platform. The role partners closely with Global Sourcing and cross‑functional teams to ensure supplier agreements align with customer commitments and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate direct‑material supplier contracts worldwide, including NDAs, supply agreements, purchase order terms, amendments and change orders.
• Structure transactions and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies, covering delivery schedules, quality requirements, packaging, logistics, Incoterms, title/risk of loss, warranties and liquidated damages.
• Manage disputes and claims, drafting notices for late delivery, shortages, non‑conformances, serial defects and related costs.
• Coordinate with the Contract Management team to oversee contract lifecycle processes, approvals and documentation standards.
• Work cross‑functionally with Sourcing, Operations, Quality, Logistics, Project Management and Legal to align supplier terms with project needs.
• Identify legal, commercial and operational risks and propose balanced solutions.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, clause libraries, playbooks and guidance notes; provide training to Sourcing teams.
• Provide general legal advisory to executive leadership on compliance, data protection, sanctions, anti‑bribery, import/export and related laws.

Required skills
