Corporate Lawyer, Consumer Litigation & Commercial

About the role

BeastLife, a fast‑growing consumer health and wellness brand, is seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer to lead consumer litigation, commercial agreements and regulatory compliance in an in‑house capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage consumer and civil litigation across district, state and national consumer commissions, courts and tribunals.
• Draft and vet legal notices, pleadings, affidavits and coordinate with external counsel.
• Negotiate and review vendor, manufacturing, marketing, influencer, NDA, SaaS, logistics and other commercial agreements.
• Provide regulatory and compliance advice on the Consumer Protection Act, Legal Metrology, FSSAI, e‑commerce rules and respond to government authorities.
• Oversee trademark filings, IP protection and online brand enforcement.
• Maintain legal research, opinions, and trackers for litigation, contracts and compliance while collaborating with HR, finance, marketing and operations.

Required profile

• LL.B / B.A. LL.B or LL.M with 5‑8 years of relevant legal experience.
• Hands‑on consumer litigation experience within an in‑house D2C, e‑commerce, FMCG or health‑and‑wellness brand.
• Solid grounding in corporate and commercial law, contract management and regulatory matters.
• Experience working with external counsel and regulatory authorities.

Required skills

• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation and research abilities.
• Strong understanding of consumer protection, regulatory and business laws.
