Cook II – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

The Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel is seeking a Cook II to join its culinary team. This full‑time position supports the preparation and cooking of a wide range of menu items while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test and monitor food for proper doneness and quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain a clean, disinfected kitchen environment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures to ensure safety compliance.
• Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies and report any issues to management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of related food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
