Controller / Manager – NetSuite

About the role

The Controller / Manager will lead end‑to‑end accounting activities for an operational consulting business. Working closely with operations and consulting teams, you will ensure accurate financial tracking, timely invoicing, and reliable reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments during period‑end closing.
• Prepare client invoices for time‑material, milestone‑based, or manpower utilization projects and track receivables.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes; produce MIS, management reports, and variance analysis.
• Process vendor invoices, consultant payments, employee reimbursements, and payroll coordination.
• Assist internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory compliance with external consultants as needed.
• Support ERP implementation or migration (e.g., NetSuite) and identify process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in services/consulting or project‑based environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, invoicing, receivables tracking and reconciliations.
• Mandatory exposure to payroll processes.
• Prior experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with US‑based CFO and internal stakeholders.
• High ownership, attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
