About the role

The Cleaning Specialist I will oversee janitorial operations across multiple sites in the Portland area. This role combines leadership, client relationship management, and operational oversight to ensure high‑quality cleaning services and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily janitorial activities across several locations, guaranteeing cleanliness standards are met or exceeded.
• Recruit, train, and develop janitorial staff and supervisors, fostering a culture of performance and teamwork.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strong client relationships, understand their needs, and ensure satisfaction with cleaning services.
• Enforce health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring teams have necessary resources.
• Prepare and control budgets for labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Address client or staff issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement sustainable cleaning practices and monitor their effectiveness.
• Generate reports and performance metrics for senior management.

Required profile
