About the role

The Portland Area Manager will lead our janitorial teams across multiple sites, ensuring that cleaning and maintenance standards are consistently met. This role blends leadership, customer service, and operational oversight while upholding health and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial operations at several locations, guaranteeing high‑quality cleanliness.
• Recruit, train, and develop janitors and supervisors, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to keep teams fully equipped.
• Prepare and control budgets for labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Resolve client or staff issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement sustainable cleaning practices and monitor their effectiveness.
• Generate reports on operational performance for senior management.
