Chief Rolling Stock Expert (K1) – Bid Position

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking a Chief Rolling Stock Expert (K1) to lead the rolling‑stock component of its metro project bids across India. Reporting to the Team Leader, the expert will ensure that rolling‑stock specifications meet authority requirements and support the overall bid strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update existing rolling‑stock specifications in line with client requirements.
• Prepare pre‑qualification (PQ) documents for rolling‑stock procurement and evaluate bidder submissions.
• Manage program planning, scheduling, and system interface coordination.
• Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of depot equipment, train simulators, and asset‑management systems.
• Coordinate with related subsystems such as signalling, telecommunications, power supply, track, and structures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and relevant industry codes.
• Conduct design reviews, approvals, and contract administration.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 20 years total experience, including at least 7 years relevant to rolling‑stock projects.
• At least 3 years in a senior or equivalent position.
• Minimum 2 years continuous experience on a single relevant project.
