Capex Controller – Finance & Accounts

About the role

As a Capex Controller you will support Enpro’s multi‑year capital investment programme of approx ₹250 crore, overseeing budgeting, tracking, reporting and cost control for office and factory expansions. You will work closely with Engineering, Projects and Procurement to ensure disciplined monitoring of budget versus actuals and timely governance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a 3‑5‑year Capex master plan, prepare annual and project‑wise budgets, cash‑flow schedules and phasing.
• Track budget vs commitment vs actual on a monthly basis, analyse variances and prepare MIS dashboards and management presentations.
• Support procurement with commercial comparisons, validate cost break‑ups, BOQs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure proper accounting under CWIP, capitalization readiness, GST/TDS compliance and audit‑ready documentation.
• Maintain data in SAP S/4HANA (IM/PS/CO) and related trackers in Excel/Power BI, and drive digitalisation of reporting formats.
• Coordinate with Projects, Engineering, Finance and Procurement, and prepare decks for Capex Committee meetings.

Required profile

• 6‑9 years total experience with 3‑5 years in capex budgeting and control.
• CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance / M.Com or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of IAS 16 / Ind AS 16, GST/TDS and project accounting.
