About the role

Dayananda Sagar University is hiring an Assistant Professor in Marketing to join its School of Commerce and Management Studies. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting research, and supporting academic administration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials in core and elective marketing subjects such as Consumer Behaviour, Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, and Brand Management.
• Develop course materials, assessments, and innovative pedagogical approaches.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in peer‑reviewed national and international journals.
• Supervise student projects and mentor students on academic and career goals.
• Participate in curriculum design, continuous improvement initiatives, and organise seminars, workshops, and industry interaction events.
• Contribute to departmental and university committees and collaborate on interdisciplinary research and grant applications.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Marketing from a recognised university (mandatory).
• 1–3 years of teaching, industry, or research experience in marketing.
• Evidence of publications in reputable journals or relevant industry contributions.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Familiarity with modern teaching tools, online learning platforms, and research software.
• Knowledge of emerging marketing areas such as AI in Marketing, MarTech, or Green Marketing is desirable.
