Assistant Professor of English

About the role

The University is seeking an Assistant Professor of English to join its faculty. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, develop innovative curricula, and engage in interdisciplinary research.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English Language, Communication, Literature, and related interdisciplinary subjects.
• Design and deliver curriculum aligned with international standards, collaborating with global faculty and industry experts.
• Apply learner‑centric methods such as Project‑Based Learning and Problem‑Based Learning.
• Integrate topics like Systems Thinking, Design Thinking, and Critical Thinking into coursework.
• Mentor students in academic progress, research, communication, and career development.
• Conduct impactful research leading to publications, funded projects, and academic collaborations.
• Develop instructional materials, assessments, and technology‑enabled learning resources.
• Participate in curriculum design, accreditation, faculty development, and departmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in English with an excellent academic record.
• 2–3 years of experience in English Language Teaching or related higher‑education roles.
• Strong passion for language, communication, and higher‑education teaching.
• Interest in American language and culture.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver globally benchmarked curriculum.
• Commitment to innovative, interdisciplinary, and socially relevant research.
• Proficiency with digital teaching‑learning tools.
