Assistant Manager / Manager – Solar Design (Civil)

About the role

The position leads or supports civil design and engineering for solar photovoltaic projects, covering site feasibility, layout planning, structural design and compliance. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost‑effective solar installations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments during pre‑bid, construction and O&M phases and prepare feasibility reports.
• Develop civil layouts including grading, drainage, access roads and module mounting structures using STAAD Pro or equivalent tools.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications and construction drawings for civil works.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, vendor and contractor teams to ensure integrated design and execution quality.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, international standards and obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain documentation for audits, client submissions and project hand‑overs.

Required profile

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in solar PV civil design, preferably on large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical, hydrological and structural aspects of solar installations.
