Assistant General Manager – Sales (7‑8 years experience)

About the role

HungerBox is seeking an Assistant General Manager – Sales to lead its B2B sales organization. The role will shape strategy, build high‑performing teams, and drive revenue across corporate, education, healthcare, and industrial segments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a sales strategy aligned with growth and revenue targets, including market expansion and go‑to‑market plans for new products.
• Recruit, train, and mentor a high‑performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own P&L for the sales function, achieving annual revenue of ₹50+ crores through new acquisition, upselling, and cross‑selling.
• Lead complex, high‑value deals with C‑suite executives and manage strategic enterprise relationships.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, operations, and customer success to ensure seamless delivery and market alignment.
• Monitor competitive landscape, provide market intelligence, and represent HungerBox at industry events.

Required profile

• 7‑8 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 5 years in a sales leadership role.
• Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams from the ground up.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets of ₹50 crores annually.
• Experience in SaaS, foodtech, enterprise software, or technology‑enabled services preferred.
• Strong people‑leadership, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills.
