Area Sales Manager – Transportation Safety (Rajasthan)

About the role

3M’s Transportation Safety Division is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead business development for road safety solutions across Rajasthan. You will work closely with public and private stakeholders to expand the division’s footprint and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end relationships with customers and channel partners, focusing on key account development.
• Engage government authorities (PWD, NHAI, municipal corporations, police), consultants and major contractors to secure project specifications.
• Identify client challenges, propose tailored safety solutions, and conduct product demonstrations, seminars and awareness programs.
• Ensure 3M specifications are included in tenders and project documents.
• Explore new market segments, introduce new products and pursue untapped opportunities.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM and sales automation tools.
• Develop sales forecasts, execute marketing initiatives and achieve monthly and annual targets.
• Drive channel‑partner development, provide sales training and manage receivable collections.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve complaints.

Required profile

• B.E. or MBA with a proven B2B or institutional sales track record.
• 8‑10 years of core sales experience, preferably in infrastructure, industrial or government sectors.
• Familiarity with government departments and procedures (PWD, NHAI, municipal corporations, Smart Cities).
• Experience in infrastructure project sales, concept selling, seminar facilitation and specification‑based sales.
• Demonstrated ability to influence tender generation and manage long‑cycle sales engagements.
