Area Collections Manager – Lending Collections

About the role

Paytm is seeking an Area Collections Manager to lead the collections function for a designated region. You will be responsible for achieving collection targets, managing the flow of cases, and overseeing a large team of collection officers. The role requires close coordination with creditors, consumers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely repayments.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve collection targets for the assigned area and control case flow, focusing on non‑starters.
• Ensure documented feedback and maintain adequate street‑level availability across buckets and segments.
• Set and monitor productivity parameters for collection officers, both agency and in‑house teams.
• Conduct weekly performance reviews with collection executives and manage background checks for agencies.
• Identify training needs, evaluate performance of collection executives, and support legal or police issues related to collections.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of experience in collections or a related financial role.
• Proven people‑management skills with a track record of meeting targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Graduation or post‑graduation preferred.
