Area Collections Manager – Lending Collections (Frontend)

About the role

The Area Collections Manager will lead end‑to‑end collections for lending portfolios, overseeing both early‑stage and late‑stage delinquency buckets. The role combines portfolio health management, compliance, analytics and large team leadership across field and tele‑calling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage collections across delinquency buckets (0‑30, 31‑60, and higher DPD) and improve resolution rates.
• Design and optimise tele‑calling strategies, dialer efficiency and call‑connect rates for soft delinquency buckets.
• Ensure strong field discipline, conduct audits, and drive legal escalation for high‑risk cases.
• Lead large on‑ground and vendor teams, allocate portfolios, set targets and coach on negotiation and resolution.
• Drive monthly collection targets, improve PTP conversion, and monitor productivity metrics such as RPC and CE%.
• Maintain strict compliance with RBI guidelines, handle escalations and support audit requirements.
• Track KPIs, generate MIS reports, analyse portfolio data and recommend strategy improvements.
