Wood Moulder Operator – Tech III

About the role

Cambium is seeking a focused and safety‑oriented Wood Moulder Operator (Tech III) to run and maintain a high‑volume Weinig Powermat 700 on our fencing, decking, and siding production line. You will ensure accurate, high‑quality wood profiles while supporting continuous flow.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor the Weinig Powermat 700 to produce precise wood profiles.
• Install, align, and adjust cutting heads, tooling, feed rollers, and fences according to production specifications.
• Read and interpret production orders, profile drawings, and measurement requirements.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects, accuracy, and surface quality.
• Use calipers, gauges, and other precision tools to verify dimensional tolerances.
• Make real‑time machine adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and hazard‑free.
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream stations to ensure efficient throughput.
• Record production data, downtime, and material usage accurately.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience operating a wood moulder, preferably a Weinig Powermat.
• Strong understanding of milling, cutting geometry, feed speeds, and wood behavior.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor issues.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
