Welfare Officer – Employee Welfare & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Welfare Officer to lead employee welfare initiatives, ensure statutory compliance, and promote a healthy, inclusive workplace environment. The role will be pivotal in managing welfare facilities, handling employee relations, and maintaining adherence to labour laws.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor employee welfare programs and engagement activities.
• Manage welfare facilities such as canteen, transportation, sanitation, drinking water, rest areas, and medical services.
• Address employee welfare concerns, conduct feedback sessions, and ensure timely resolution of grievances.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, maintain statutory registers, and coordinate inspections and audits.
• Liaise with labour departments and statutory authorities for renewals, registrations, and licensing.
• Collaborate with HR, Administration, EHS, and business teams to resolve employee issues.
• Monitor facility quality, hygiene, safety, and conduct periodic inspections.
• Support health and safety awareness programs and emergency response drills.
• Prepare welfare, compliance, and statutory reports for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in employee welfare, statutory compliance, or related HR functions.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, Factories Act, Occupational Safety, and Shops & Establishments regulations.
• Proven ability to manage welfare facilities and coordinate with external service providers.
• Experience handling employee grievances and maintaining accurate records.
• Excellent coordination skills with HR, EHS, and administrative teams.
