Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Operator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Operator to run and monitor our RO and Demineralization systems on a shift basis. The operator will ensure a continuous supply of high-quality treated water for boiler and process operations while maintaining plant efficiency and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Demineralization (DM) units to meet water quality targets.
• Maintain uninterrupted DM water supply to boiler and process sections.
• Record shift-wise water generation, consumption, equipment run hours and downtime.
• Perform MB, ACF, MGF cleaning and backwash procedures.
• Monitor and adjust chemical dosing, track consumption and ensure proper handling of acids and alkalis.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with boiler and utility teams for water demand.
• Maintain accurate logs and hourly entries for all plant activities.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience operating WTP, RO or DM plants, preferably in a distillery or chemical environment.
• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering.
• Certification in water treatment is a plus.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and follow safety procedures.
