VS Code Extension Developer

About the role

We are looking for a VS Code Extension Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom Visual Studio Code extensions that boost developer productivity and streamline workflows. The role involves deep integration with the VS Code API, building intuitive UI features, and ensuring high performance and usability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Visual Studio Code extensions using TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Work with VS Code Extension APIs such as commands, tree views, webviews, and language features.
• Integrate extensions with REST APIs, internal tools, or cloud services.
• Implement features like code actions, snippets, linters, debuggers, or AI‑assisted tooling.
• Ensure performance, stability, and security of extensions.
• Publish and maintain extensions in the VS Code Marketplace.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience with VS Code Extension development.
• Good understanding of Node.js.
• Familiarity with VS Code APIs (commands, contributions, activation events).
• Experience with Git and version‑control workflows.
