Vocational Instructor

About the role

The Vocational Instructor will assess beneficiaries' abilities and design tailored training programs that promote independence, confidence, and employability. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the instructor creates a safe and inclusive environment for practical skill development.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the skills, interests, and vocational abilities of beneficiaries.
• Develop and implement individualized vocational training programs.
• Provide hands‑on training in selected trades, life skills, and work‑related activities.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate various disabilities and learning needs.
• Monitor trainee progress, maintain performance records, and prepare monthly reports.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive training environment.
• Assist beneficiaries in developing workplace behavior, discipline, and time‑management skills.
• Coordinate vocational activities, workshops, and production units within the centre.
• Encourage participation in income‑generation and skill‑development initiatives.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, caregivers, and families for holistic development.
• Support placement, internship, or livelihood opportunities for eligible beneficiaries.
• Organise exhibitions, sales activities, and community interaction programs for vocational products.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and rehabilitation planning sessions.

Required profile

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning requirements.
• Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to fostering independence and employability.
