VM Brakes BSW CAN Developer – Automotive Software

About the role

We are looking for an experienced developer to design and integrate Basic Software (BSW) modules for CAN communication within automotive brake systems. The role is based in Coimbatore and involves close collaboration with system, hardware and application teams to deliver reliable brake control software.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate BSW modules for CAN communication in brake systems following AUTOSAR standards.
• Configure and implement CAN drivers, communication stacks and related BSW components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of brake control software.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve CAN network issues across ECUs.
• Perform testing, validation and debugging of CAN communication, documenting design and test results.
• Maintain compliance with automotive safety and quality standards such as ISO 26262.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive software development, specifically with CAN communication.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Required skills

• CAN communication and driver development.
• AUTOSAR BSW integration.
• Use of debugging tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe.
• Proficiency with software development environments for embedded systems.
