About the role

This hands‑on infrastructure position is focused on designing, managing, and optimizing enterprise virtualization environments that support mission‑critical business operations. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security across virtualized systems that power core IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage virtualization infrastructure using hypervisor technologies such as VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, or KVM.
• Create, configure, and maintain virtual machines while ensuring optimal resource allocation and system performance.
• Monitor virtualization environments, analyze performance metrics, and implement tuning strategies to improve efficiency and stability.
• Manage storage and networking components within virtualized environments to ensure seamless business operations.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions for critical infrastructure systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization‑related issues to minimize downtime and service disruption.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, infrastructure changes, and operational procedures.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices, including access control and data protection within virtualized environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams on capacity planning, infrastructure design, and system optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, or KVM.
• Proven experience deploying, configuring, and managing virtual machines in production environments.
• Strong understanding of storage systems, networking concepts, and their application in virtualized infrastructures.
• Solid knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Experience with system performance monitoring, optimization, and capacity planning.
• Relevant virtualization certifications are a plus.
