Vice President – India Global Capability Center

About the role

Rapyuta Robotics is seeking a Vice President to lead and scale its Chennai Global Capability Center (GCC). The role will shape the GCC into a strategic hub for engineering, operations, and business support, driving high‑quality delivery for global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and operate the Chennai GCC by strengthening the operating model, hiring plan, leadership structure, and cross‑region rhythm.
• Strengthen functional leadership – recruit missing leaders, coach existing managers, and clarify ownership across all GCC functions.
• Own execution quality – ensure reliable outcomes across robotics software, application software, data & analytics, cloud/platform services, L2 support, and IT operations.
• Maintain technical standards – provide deep technical insight, challenge assumptions, evaluate trade‑offs, and link engineering decisions to business results.
• Build culture – foster a humble, confident, purpose‑driven team environment with ownership, collaboration, and long‑term commitment.

Required profile

• Strong technical credibility and curiosity, with the ability to connect technology to business outcomes.
• Proven experience leading and scaling teams, including hiring, coaching leaders, setting expectations, and resolving organizational issues.
• Track record in complex execution, preferably in robotics, industrial automation, logistics technology, deep‑tech, or enterprise software.
• Long‑term, purpose‑driven mindset focused on building logistics infrastructure over years.
• Humane yet confident leadership style, excellent English communication, and ability to collaborate across Japan, India, and global teams.
