Veterinary Assistant

About the role

Pinaka Vets, a fast‑growing chain of multi‑specialty veterinary hospitals in India, is seeking a full‑time Veterinary Assistant for its Jaipur clinic. You will work on‑site supporting veterinarians and veterinary nurses to deliver high‑quality care to companion animals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and nurses during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
• Monitor patients, prepare treatment areas, and ensure safe, compassionate handling of pets.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of clinical spaces, restock supplies, and manage equipment.
• Interact with pet owners, collect patient histories, and explain basic care instructions.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating records, and handling documentation.

Required profile

• Strong animal care skills, including safe handling, basic husbandry, and observation of animal behavior and health.
• Excellent client education and customer service abilities to communicate clearly with pet parents.
• Foundational knowledge of veterinary medicine to assist with examinations and routine procedures under supervision.
• Relevant certificate or diploma in veterinary assistance, animal science, or a related field is preferred.
• Attention to detail, ability to follow clinical protocols, and readiness to work in a fast‑paced environment.
