Tunnel Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Tunnel Construction Supervisor will lead daily on‑site activities for tunnel works on railway or highway projects. Reporting to the project engineer, you will ensure that all construction follows approved drawings, specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day tunnel construction activities on site.
• Monitor execution against approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and project standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and site teams for smooth execution.
• Track project progress, maintain records and produce regular reports.
• Identify and resolve execution issues related to tunnelling.
• Manage effective utilization of manpower, machinery and materials.
• Assist in inspection and quality‑control activities for tunnel works.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 4 years overall experience, including minimum 2 years in tunnel construction supervision, OR Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 7 years overall experience, including minimum 4 years in tunnel works supervision.
• Proven experience on railway or highway tunnel projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of tunnel construction methods and site supervision practices.
• Understanding of construction safety procedures and quality standards.
• Experience in tunnel works for railway/highway infrastructure projects.
