Transportation Representative

About the role

The Transportation Representative works within Amazon's Network Operations Center (NOC) to ensure the smooth, on‑time movement of freight across inbound and outbound operations. Acting as a critical liaison between carriers, vendors, fulfillment centers and internal teams, the role focuses on real‑time issue resolution and continuous improvement of transportation workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the communication bridge between external stakeholders (carriers, vendors/suppliers) and internal teams (retail, finance, software support, fulfillment centers).
• Systematically escalate and track issues or data variances to the appropriate owners, ensuring timely resolution.
• Prepare and present weekly narratives that highlight key findings, performance variances and improvement opportunities.
• Provide real‑time customer experience support in a 24 × 7 operating environment.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement initiatives from concept through implementation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
• Ability to analyse data trends and make time‑sensitive decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, 24 × 7 environment.
