Transportation Operations Specialist – NOC (India)

About the role

The Transportation Operations Specialist works in Amazon's Network Operations Center (NOC) for India, acting as the central hub for transportation execution across inbound and outbound freight flows. The role ensures timely pick‑up and delivery of goods between vendors, fulfillment centers, carrier hubs and customers, while handling exceptions and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with external partners (carriers, vendors) and internal teams (retail, finance, software support, fulfillment centers) to resolve transportation issues.
• Monitor inbound and outbound freight lifecycles, identify exceptions, and provide real‑time resolutions.
• Extract and analyse data from multiple databases using Excel, Access, SQL or similar tools to generate ad‑hoc reports.
• Develop and track performance metrics to support business results.
• Identify trends, propose process automation or changes, and drive implementation.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of logistics and supply‑chain operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends and make data‑driven decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive attitude toward process improvement.
