Transport Executive – Operations & Vendor Management

About the role

The Transport Executive is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations, ensuring smooth coordination of staff and vehicle movement, and maintaining high service standards. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver safe, efficient, and cost‑effective transport services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality transport management services and respond to emergencies, including medical transport.
• Liaise daily with the Customer’s Transport Manager and coordinate with vendor teams for employee pickups and drops.
• Monitor fleet deployment, ensure safety compliance (seat belts, first‑aid kits, fire extinguishers, communication systems), and validate cab‑in times.
• Prepare transport rosters, plan driver schedules, and optimise routes to reduce costs using GPS and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
• Maintain documentation for audits, investigate incidents, and enforce safety and legal regulations.
• Release daily MIS reports, analyse transport data, and submit performance and compliance reports.
• Address employee transport complaints and resolve grievances with drivers and vendors.

Required profile

• 4‑5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of route planning, vendor management, and fleet coordination.

• Transport Management System (TMS) usage
• GPS tracking for real‑time vehicle monitoring
• MIS reporting and data analysis
