Transport Executive – Operations & Vendor Management

About the role

The Transport Executive is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations, ensuring smooth coordination of staff and vehicle movement while maintaining high service standards. This role works closely with the Customer’s Transport Manager and external vendors to deliver safe, efficient, and cost‑effective transport services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, prompt, and courteous transport management services.
• Coordinate daily with the Customer’s Transport Manager and vendor operations teams.
• Monitor fleet deployment, vehicle compliance, and driver readiness.
• Prepare transport rosters, driver schedules, and optimise route planning.
• Utilise GPS and Transport Management Systems (TMS) for real‑time tracking.
• Ensure adherence to safety norms, legal regulations, and maintain audit documentation.
• Generate daily MIS reports, analyse transport data, and submit performance reports.
• Handle employee transport queries, grievances, and resolve escalations.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption tracking, and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport or logistics operations.
• Strong vendor management and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle emergencies and maintain service continuity.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
