Training Delivery – Ports & Logistics Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced trainer to deliver and develop training programs for port operations, cargo handling, warehousing, and logistics processes. The role focuses on safety, compliance, and hands‑on equipment instruction to ensure a skilled and compliant workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on port operations, cargo handling, and logistics workflows.
• Deliver safety and compliance training covering hazardous materials, emergency response, and environmental standards.
• Provide hands‑on instruction for equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and reach stackers.
• Design and update training modules to reflect technological advances, regulatory changes, and best practices.
• Ensure training aligns with IMO, ISPS Code, ILO, and other international maritime regulations.
• Assess trainee performance through tests, simulations, and practical evaluations, and report results to management.
• Collaborate with HR, operations managers, external providers, government agencies, and maritime academies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a trainer in ports, shipping, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of port operations, equipment handling, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and instructional abilities.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and simulation‑based training tools.
