Traffic Engineer

About the role

AFRY is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join its India team. You will work on traffic studies for both urban and rural projects, supporting design and construction phases while collaborating with a multinational group of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist traffic designers, planners and engineers with drawings and plans.
• Develop traffic design in early phases for different transport modes and prepare standard cross‑sections and simple profile studies.
• Prepare accessibility plans for people with disabilities, including routes and gradients.
• Prepare traffic‑management sketches for construction stages.
• Prepare road equipment plans, such as road markings and signs.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in traffic engineering.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience as a traffic engineer.
• Ability to manage work under time and resource constraints and deliver quality under pressure.
• High degree of independence and willingness to develop knowledge.
• Strong logical thinking, problem‑solving and teamwork orientation.
• Good level of English communication.
