Traction RAMS Engineer

About the role

Alstom is looking for a full‑time Traction RAMS Engineer to join its Bangalore team. You will apply your expertise in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) to ensure the safety and reliability of cutting‑edge train systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform RAMS analyses in line with Alstom instructions and processes.
• Deliver RAMS analyses that meet Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) commitments.
• Assess product RAMS performance and verify that safety targets are achieved.
• Apply Alstom engineering processes and report progress, raising alerts when difficulties arise.
• Collaborate with Engineering Design, Validation, Central Engineering RAMS, suppliers, Sourcing and Industrial teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electro‑mechanical or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in rolling‑stock, preferably in traction or RAMS analysis.
• Strong knowledge of rolling‑stock engineering, validation and safety/reliability standards.
• Excellent time‑management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English for reading and writing technical documentation.
