Track Construction Manager

About the role

The Track Construction Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of railway track projects, ensuring that all works meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements. This role coordinates closely with civil, signalling, traction, and client teams to manage interfaces and achieve project milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute track works, including ballastless/ballasted track, turnout installation, welding, and stressing.
• Coordinate with civil, signalling, traction, and client teams for work fronts and interface management.
• Monitor progress against project schedules and ensure milestone targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and approved procedures.
• Manage subcontractors, manpower, machinery, and material availability.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and enforce HSE requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, resource plans, and recovery plans for any delays.
• Support testing, commissioning, and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in track construction and maintenance.
• Strong project planning and resource management capabilities.
• Experience managing contracts and subcontractors.
• Solid background in quality assurance and safety management.
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams.
