Toolmaker – Plastic Injection Mold Specialist

About the role

The Toolmaker will lead the fabrication and assembly of plastic injection molds, ensuring they meet design specifications and are ready for production trials. This position involves close collaboration with the tool room QA team and occasional travel to customer sites for mold commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble injection molds and conduct trial runs to validate performance.
• Analyze post‑trial results, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with QA to generate trial reports and resolve mold defects promptly.
• Travel to customer locations to commission and fine‑tune molds on‑site.
• Maintain documentation of mold specifications and modifications.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in plastic injection mold making.
• Strong understanding of engineering plastic materials and their processing.
• Ability to operate basic tool‑room machinery and measuring instruments.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and basic CAD.
• Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and scientific problem solving.
