Testing Technician – Electrical Panels (Entry Level)

About the role

Join Siemens Smart Infrastructure Division as a Testing Technician and support the testing of medium‑voltage (MV) panels. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with electrical protection systems, schematics, and factory acceptance testing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in testing MV panels according to IEC/IS standards and internal quality guidelines.
• Support basic troubleshooting during testing under supervision.
• Read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical schematics.
• Learn about electrical protection systems and relays.
• Follow EHS practices throughout testing activities.
• Prepare panels for customer inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure quality and timely dispatch of panels.
• Participate in continuous improvement (LEAN) initiatives and suggest ideas.

Required profile

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (2023‑2025 pass‑outs).
• Basic understanding of power systems or switchgear preferred.
• Strong interest in manufacturing and testing roles.
• 0‑2 years of experience (fresh graduates considered).

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and power systems.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings (SLD, schematics).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
