Temporary Faculty Positions Across Multiple Departments

About the role

The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur is seeking temporary faculty members for a wide range of engineering, science, architecture and planning programmes. Selected candidates will join on specified reporting dates to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and support the institute’s research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions for assigned subjects.
• Prepare teaching materials, assignments and examination papers.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning.
• Engage in research projects, publish findings and mentor student research.

Required profile

• Indian nationality.
• Relevant UG and PG degrees (or equivalent) in the subject area.
• Strong academic record and commitment to high‑quality teaching.
• Prior teaching or research experience preferred.
• Availability to report on the dates specified in the announcement.
