Telesales Team Lead

About the role

Makoons Play School is seeking an experienced, target‑driven Telesales Team Lead to manage its telesales team, drive admissions and business inquiries, and ensure high conversion rates through effective team performance and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage the telesales team to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets.
• Monitor outbound and inbound calls, ensuring timely follow‑ups with prospects.
• Track performance metrics such as call quality, conversion ratios and productivity.
• Provide coaching, training and regular performance feedback.
• Develop calling strategies and scripts to improve lead conversion.
• Coordinate with marketing and admissions for smooth lead allocation.
• Handle escalated customer queries professionally.
• Prepare daily and weekly MIS reports for management.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of all customer interactions.

Required profile

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA or relevant sales/management certification is a plus.
• 3–6 years of telesales or inside‑sales experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Experience in education, preschool, EdTech or related service industries is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Hands‑on experience with CRM systems and lead‑management processes.
