Telco Storage Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Telco Storage Engineer to design, operate and support enterprise‑grade storage solutions for telecom and data‑center environments across Romania.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Ceph clusters, including monitors, managers, OSDs, pools, CRUSH maps, RBD, CephFS and object gateway services.
• Monitor cluster health, capacity, performance and replication; perform expansions, disk replacements, rebalancing, tuning and patching.
• Integrate Ceph storage with OpenStack, OpenShift, Kubernetes and virtualization platforms for telecom workloads.
• Operate and support SAN, NAS, object and block storage platforms, handling LUN creation, masking, zoning, volume management and file share administration.
• Maintain enterprise storage arrays such as Dell EMC PowerMax, PowerFlex, Unity, Isilon, ECS, HPE Storage, Huawei OceanStor and Pure Storage.
• Coordinate with network teams for storage connectivity and service assurance, and produce operational documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience with telecom‑grade storage infrastructure and software‑defined storage solutions.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Ceph and major enterprise storage platforms.
• Basic understanding of telco network concepts and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in incident, change and problem management within a production environment.
