Technology Analyst – SAP SolMan & Focused Run

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Technology Analyst to manage, configure, and optimise our SAP monitoring landscape using SAP Focused Run and SAP Solution Manager 7.2. You will act as the technical SME ensuring high system availability, rapid incident resolution, and proactive health tracking across hybrid SAP environments.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain FRUN application areas such as System Monitoring, Integration & User Monitoring, Real‑Time Integration Monitoring, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Onboard new SAP systems, databases and hosts into SAP Focused Run.
• Install, configure and maintain Simple Diagnostics Agents (SDA) on managed systems.
• Set up custom thresholds, notification templates and automated metric management in FRUN.
• Manage technical monitoring templates, metric settings and alert rules in Solution Manager 7.2.
• Perform regular housekeeping, patching and maintenance of the Solution Manager/FRUN landscapes.
• Analyse performance metrics (CPU, memory, DB growth, long‑running jobs, lock entries, expensive SQL) and create proactive health checks.
• Develop custom dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis, Database and Infrastructure teams to fine‑tune monitoring and reduce false positives.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of hands‑on experience in SAP Basis, Solution Manager or Focused Run administration.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, preventative approach.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery model and familiarity with ITIL incident management.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and business audiences.
