Technical Warranty Engineer

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Technical Warranty Engineer to support the design, integration and safety of bogie components for rail vehicles. The role focuses on ensuring that all technical solutions meet legal, internal and project‑specific requirements while aligning with the Indian procurement market and the Siemens plant in Aurangabad.

Key responsibilities

• Design bogie components and systems, guaranteeing compliance with defined requirements and Indian market needs.
• Ensure adherence to legal, internal and project‑specific specifications, including technical offers and requirement documents.
• Manage schedule, cost and quality for EN projects, providing regular reporting.
• Create and maintain drawings, calculations, technical specifications, material master data and component bills of materials.
• Notify project engineers of scope changes and integrate them into project plans.
• Validate functional and geometric integration of components, focusing on manufacturability and testability.
• Support processing of engineering documents such as specifications, reports and material data.
• Monitor product safety, issue warnings when processes or results do not meet legal or technical standards.
• Assess production deviations via quality notifications and conduct investigations to resolve technical issues.
• Verify and validate development results through measurements, testing and model validation.
• Participate in EN development reviews with supplier teams and identify improvement actions.

Required profile

• Experience in design and warranty activities for rail vehicle bogie components.
• Familiarity with Indian procurement practices and Siemens plant operations.
• Ability to manage project schedules, costs and quality reporting.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing deviations and conducting technical investigations.
